Make-A-Wish Christmas Car Show – Dec 8th 2013 Make-A-Wish Australia is a fully self funded foundation granting the wishes of children with life threatening medical conditions. A big part of what we do includes fundraising to subsidise these wishes and bring joy to these kids. The Hume Branch of Make-A-Wish is currently planning a major fundraising car show two weeks before Christmas on 8th December at Essendon Airport.
The event will be sponsored by Essendon Fields. This event will be a Car Show and Family Day with the main emphasis on family and kids having fun, as well as a wonderful display of Chrome Bumper Classics, Muscle Cars, Customs and Hotrods, and a display of Shelby’s. Special vehicles on display will include Batman with the Batmobile and Doc with the Back to the Future DeLorean time machine.
It will be a Christmas extravaganza with entertainment including: Opportunities to win helicopter flights, Continuous raffles offering great prizes, Magic show, Jumping castle, Face painting, Lucky dips, Music and dancing, Giveaways, and of course an appearance from Santa. BBQ sausage sizzle, coffee, drinks, ice cream will all be available. A specially invited Make-A-Wish recipient will also be there to demonstrate his wish gift.
AusJet Aviation Group is donating the proceeds from a joy flight in our 1943 DC3 aircraft flying the coast line of the bay and around the city of Melbourne, departing from Essendon Airport at 2.00pm.
